Up for sale is a 1983 Prince Boron Tennis Racket in absolute mint and original condition
Introduction:  From what I know this should be the 3rd generation of Prince Boron (1st: bumperless/made in USA; 2nd: bumper guard/made in USA; 3rd: bumper guard/made in Taiwan) ... whether this particular example is made in Taiwan is unknown as it doesn't have the "Made in Taiwan" sticker as seen in some other examples.  So probably this is an early 3rd generation racket which might be made in the USA before production began in Taiwan  Racket history: A friend of mine bought this in 1983 from a Japanese department store (US$500 in 1983!).  He used it a few weeks then cut the string and left this in his closet for the next 20 years.  I bought it from him in the early 2000's ... recently asked my coach to string it and hit it for 30 mins to experience what the fuzz is about.  Total court time should be < 30 hours in past 30 yearsThings to note: We all know Prince Boron isn't very rare as they pop up quite regularly on eBay.  What makes this special is 1) its condition which is mint - touching the bumper it still feel very smooth as there are only a few hairline scratches; on the throat and both sides there are few spots with scratches but they left extremely thin marks on the glossy surface only meaning the paint underneath is still perfectly intact; only 2 spots I could see very very minor scratches on the paint. 2) It's truly original - not very often you find the original grip and this racket the grip comes with the "Select Calfskin" original grip in a more brownish shade (vs. the modern Prince Calfskin).  Even the brown tape that wrapped the top of the grip is the original tape from 1983!  The cover is in fair condition as seen on the pictureI am a racket collector who has been collecting rackets for > 10 years.  Most of my collection is rare and in extremely hard-to-find mint condition hence reflected in the asking price.  The reasons of me divesting my collection - I have ventured into new hobbies and with a busy job and family I simply have no time to appreciate my collection, also with most of my rackets being stored in an outside storage (24-hr air-con) I am increasingly agitated by rental increase year after year so I am starting to divest my collection but not in a rushGiven the asking price I am more than happy to supply additional high res pictures to ensure serious buyers are completely satisfied with the racket before making a decision.  I prefer to send pics via whatsapp.I intend to charge actual freight cost.  I am located in Hong Kong and I believe to USA is about US$35 or so.  Other countries I have to check.  I will only send via EMS (or UPS, DHL, etc... anything with online tracking) so don't ask me to send via slow boat or other cheaper options.  I want to make sure the buyer will receive the racket timely with no issues whatsoeverAccept Paypal but bank transfer is preferred.  I will not entertain any questions or make any exceptions for anyone with zero or negative feedback so please do not bid
