Antique Vintage Wood 1910 Broadway Quality BEVERLY Tennis Racket Classic antique nice old early wood wooden racquet from hard-to-find maker; Pawtucket, RI, had several small racket companies at the turn of the 20th century; great decal for this company NOTE: Part of a group of 12 rackets fresh to the market. I will list two rackets a day between March 21 and March 26. Will combine items for much reduced postage for multiple purchases. MODEL: 1910 Broadway Tennis Racket Mfg Co BEVERLY HEAD: Classic period tear drop teardrop; stock is square at the shoulders and square as it goes up and around the top of head WARPING: none FRAME: excellent condition with old finish; lustrous glow; much less than expected wear to the top of the head; top of head still retains some of the old finish THROAT WEDGE: early one-piece solid convex wedge STRINGS: as shown; original thick lamb gut BANDING: the two original silk thread bands are intact DECALS: As shown; the Broadway logo is a beauty and gives lots of info GRIP: shallow barely there grooves; 4 5/8 inches; pre-dates grip material STAMPS: 11 ½ OZ as shown WEIGHT: weighs 11.1 ounces actual weight END CAP: wider than usual leather strip intact with minimal wear; end cap as shown Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
