Vintage R. H. Macy & Co Wooden Tennis Racket Brace ~ Unique Clamping Mechanism

This is a really nice and fairly unusual Wooden Tennis Racket Brace or Clamp originally sold by R. H. Macy & Co..I think it was for an upscale market because other wooden braces required screwing four wing nuts to tighten the brace and this one is a single movement.The wood has a wonderful patina as does the metal and it has it's 'Pat. No. 2187550' (the best I can make out) stamped on it as well as 'R. H. Macy & Co.'.It measures 8 1/2" and 10" wide by 9" long by 2 1/2" thick and weighs 1 pound 3 ounces.The pictures show all sides of the item.Share Our Strength ~ No Kid Hungry
