PRINCE "Woodie" 4-3/8" Leather Grip, BRAND NEW w/Tags, never strung, Brand New Prince Woodie Head Cover. My accountant represented the first wholesale distributor for Prince Tennis in Arizona and received the first Woodie racquets prior to distribution. My accountant gave me this for my birthday back in the early 1980's. There is a #5 tag on the main tag and may have been #5 our of five racquets given to master distributor. I have enjoyed it as part of my tennis racquet collection. I'm selling off my tennis collection as I no longer play and this racquet is very special with Prince cutting edge technology. I gave away over 20 racquets to a school charity. Time for someone else to enjoy. Racquet has been stored in thermal bag and the leather grip wrapped in film over the last 10 years. Prior, the grip was not wrapped and has some discoloration normal to leather. It's amazing these racquets were strung at 70-76 pounds. NOTE: This Prince Woodie is being sold as a collector racquet, as I can't imagine someone stringing and using this fine example. However, it would be very cool to play with it. NOTE: This is NOT an overstock item or any other crazy claim. Racquet is 36+ years old and Brand New.
