Spalding NY LEAGUE Squash Racket
Early rackets like this don’t turn up very often. CLASSIC
antique nice old early wood wooden squash racquet with 1910 - 1920s Spalding decal
logo.
MODEL: 1915 - 1920s
Spalding League NO. 36D (?)
HEAD:
Classic period round shape; stock
is square at the shoulders and all around the head
WARPING:
none
FRAME:
excellent condition with old darkened finish; expected wear to the top
of the head.
STRINGS: Original
lamb gut as shown
BANDING: Intact and in great condition. This also
helps to date the racket: This wrapping
and banding style is also seen on 1915 - 1920 tennis rackets; probably silk thread in
red and tan in addition to the tape.
DECALS: As
shown; VG / excellent condition.
