2 vintage tennis racquets Lawford and Cortland Line Autograph early 40's rackets

The story is when Mom and Dad were newlyweds in the early 40's, they would have dinner and then play tennis to see who did the dishes.  These are their racquets.
They're not in all that bad condition, considering they're about 75 years old!
Dad's was the Autograph by the Cortland Line Company and has a little bigger grip. Mom used the lighter Lawford.
Later on, the Lawford spent evenings on the courts in the summer with me and then went to college.  (Which explains why it shows more use!)  Surely the strings are too old to be much use in play, but these would look great on the wall in your den.
If you still like the wood racquets with the leather grip (at least on the Autograph--Lawford may have been taped), they can probably be restrung.  They're still strong.
Please study the photos carefully and ask for more if needed.
Autograph (Dad's) measures about 27" in length and about 12" x 9 1/4 at the head.  sticker is missing on one side
Lawford (Mom's) measures about 27" in length and about 12 x 9 at the head, appears to have a smaller grip.

I accept PayPal.  Unless you plan to request combined shipping or a different shipping option than what is in the listing, please pay as soon as the auction closes or else communicate with me regarding payment.

I am happpy to combine items for shipping. If you win more than one item, please wait for an invoice so we can get the best price for you on the shipping. I am a very fast shipper, usually getting your purchase on the way the same day as you pay. Once you win something, you should have it as soon as possible!

Paypal accepted. If our communication is 2-way, we shouldn't have to deal with returns. Ask questions, require more photos, whatever it takes. I'd even rather cancel a bid or a sale than ship you something you're not sure about. Of course if an item isn't as described, it can be returned.

Grace 2006 has been selling on eBay since 2006 and I am a Christian retired person, not a business. It is my personal delight to move the things I love into the home of someone else who would love to have them. Although I am rather antique myself, I'm not an antique expert and don't know the markets, although much of what I have is antique and collectible. Most of it is gently used and hard to find elsewhere. My home is totally nonsmoking but is rescue-pet friendly ( australian shepherds and cats). It is my joy to hear from other members of the eBay community.

Please contact me any time and as often as you need to. I believe it takes plenty of communication when you're buying something online in order to get exactly what you're expecting. Please know that if you leave feedback via the detailed ratings, eBay will NEVER tell me who might not have been completely pleased. It's not really helpful to me, as I don't know how I can improve. (Kind of like getting a spelling test back with a -1 at the top but no clue about which word you got wrong...) I honestly want to do a superior job as an eBay seller. I appreciate your help and communication. Seriously.
