Vintage SNAUWAERT "JAN KODES" Wimbledon Championship Wood tennis racquet - used Leather grip shows some wear

Cover does have cosmetic blemishes but zips perfectly and has no holes or tears. SNAUWAERT logo is complete and not worn off unlike the majority of actual vintage Snauwaert covers.
Racquet is strung but I'm unsure when and although it looks and feels tight and solid as you would expect has NOT been used for play. It has been used for decor and been displayed rather than played with to ensure it was preserved well. MADE of All White Ash wood enforced with Vulcan Fibre this racquet is quite tough yet flexible and was specially designed and endorsed by Jan Kodes because he insisted was the best. ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO PURCHASE
AS ITEM IS SOLD AS IS WITH NO RETURNS. NEAT HISTORY BEHIND THESE VINTAGE ITEMS:
** THIS RACQUET WAS MADE BETWEEN 1977-1979** Jan Kodes won the french open in 1970 and 1971, and wimbledon in 1973. He was inducted into the international hall of fame in 1990. His signature was only printed (not actually hand signed) on a small amount of racquets which he personally endorsed after winning using his Snauwaert Racquet in several matches. He later claimed no other racquet could compete with Snauwaerts brand and attributed his hall of fame acceptance would not have been possible without Snauwaert racquets as his wins at that time were achieved using only their brand. He chose to allow his signature to be printed only on Snauwaert racquets so people knew what was the best product to use to win big as he had. They Only produced Jan's signature series Snauwaert International Club raquets for a short time so they are pretty rare. This specific racquet is in nice condition but does have minimal signs of use. It comes with a actual Snauwaert cover. Both items are few and far between now a days. A very neat historical item any tennis fan would appreciate for play or show. Each racquet has its own serial number as to ensure authenticity. This one is numbered 2 340 335 (See pictures). Thanks for looking!
