RARE Vintage Wood 1920 HSB & Co Chicago REV-O-NOC w/ CORK INSERTS Tennis RacketAs handsome, beautiful and unusual as they come. Super cool CLASSIC antique old early wood wooden racquet from one of the mid-west’s great early hardware, gun and sporting goods stores, Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company.It has two CORK inserts in each of the four “wide” sides in the grip.NOTE: Part of a group of rackets I just found. I will list one racket a day between August 4 and August 13. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases. Ebay Global Shipping Program available for international buyers.MODEL: 1920 “REV - O - NOC” HEAD: Classic period tear-drop oval; stock is square at the shoulders and then slightly chamfered as it goes around the top of head; retains most of original soft finish: a beauty.WARPING: noneFRAME: bright and clean in excellent condition; less than expected wear to the top of the head.THROAT WEDGE: concave and laminated in place, consistent with the periodSTRINGS: as shown; look like original lamb gut BANDING: none: pre-dates bandingDECALS: As shown; excellent conditionGRIP: 5 ¼ inches; rare cork inserts grip; very shallow grooves on the smaller corners and two cork inserts on each of the four “broad sides”; pre-dates grip material STAMPS: E ; 13 oz. for the weight as shown WEIGHT: weighs 13.1 ounces actual weightEND CAP: leather strip in excellent condition with minor wear; end cap as shownPostage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
