PRINCE "Woodie" 4-3/8" Leather Grip, BRAND NEW w/Tags, never strung, Brand New Prince Woodie Head Cover. Back in early 1980's, my CPA represented the first wholesale distributor for Prince Tennis in Arizona and received the first Woodie racquets prior to distribution. She knew I played tennis and give to me for my birthday. There is a #5 tag on the main tag and may have been #5 our of five racquets provided to the distributor. I'm selling off my tennis collection as I no longer play. Time for someone else to enjoy. This racquet in it's day was Prince cutting edge technology. This racquet has been stored in thermal bag and the leather grip was wrapped in film over the last 10 years, but has some minor discoloration normal to leather. It's amazing these racquets were strung at 70-76 pounds. NOTE: This Prince Woodie is being sold as a collector racquet, as I can't imagine stringing it today. However, it would be very cool to play with this racquet in a woodie tournament. Would make a fine example for a tennis pro shop or avid sports collector.
NOTE: This is NOT an overstock item or any other crazy claim with some added tag. This is the real deal racquet 36+ years old never strung never used so as brand new.
