New, plastic on handle, Wilson BLX Blade tennis racket in a midplus 98 square inch head in 4 1/4 grip size.. This racket has black, gold, and pink graphics. Original selling price $220. The BLX Blade weighs 10.7 ounces unstrung and is 27 inches long. It is balanced at 32.5 cm for a 6 pt head light rating.
The BLX Blade utilizes Wilson's new BLX technology which incorporates fibers of basalt, a natural volcanic rock, longitudinally into the Karophite Black. According to Wilson, the result is a significant reduction in vibrations in the racquet.The BLX Blade is a swing friendly 65 on my Babolat RDC which should provide control but is stiff enough to get some serious pop on your serve. I would recommend this racket for players with medium/fast swing speeds who want a lot of feel and control in a solid frame. Recommended string tension is 50 to 60 lbs on this 18X20 string pattern where I recommend going down 2 lbs in the cross strings to equalize string pressure throughout the frame.
