I used this racquet one time...it was my back up racquet...this racquet is in excellent excellent condition.With this update to the Blade 98 (18x20), Wilson gives intermediate and advanced players an even better combination of control and feel. Thanks to its unique Braided Graphite/Basalt layup, the hoop of the Blade 98 is able to flex more at impact. The result is enhanced ball pocketing with the kind of classic feel that rewards big swings with exceptional control. Wilson adds their Parallel Drilling technology to this update, a feature that expands the sweetspot and puts a little extra pop in to the dense 18x20 string pattern. There's also an impressive level of stability considering its 11.3 ounce weight. As with the previous Blade 98, Wilson uses Amplifeel technology in the handle to further enhance feel and comfort. From the baseline this racquet's control makes it easy to select ambitious targets and drive the ball confidently through the court. At net the combination of stability, precision and feel allows the player to shift seamlessly from soft droppers to penetrating punches. All in all this a very solid addition to the Blade franchise. Aggressive players looking for a little extra control along with great feel are urged to give this one a serious look.
