Wooden Tennis Racket
This auction is for a very early 1900's wooden tennis racket, as found. This is a " Championship " by Wright & Ditson. Original decals in place on both sides. There is a number 18 impressed in side handle. The other handle side has something impressed into the wood as well, but I can read it.
Strings have one break at top center.
Finish is original.
There is some leather nailed around the racket's handle end.
A wonderful 1900's tennis racket for serious sports collectors. Payment is due within 3 days of the auction close.
