This is the Guillermo Vilas Slazenger V-24 wooden tennis racquet. The grip size is not on the racquet, but I measured it and it is close to 4 5/8 though as I said it doesn't say for sure on the racquet. The racquet itself is in really good condition for an almost 40 year old racquet. It still has a nice gloss to it. No major scratches and no cracks, but their is some scuffing of the wood along the top of the frame. Some of the golden writing is scratched in spots. The frame itself does not appear to be warped. I've kept this racquet in my house for the 5 years or so that I have owned it. I've only took it out into the elements when I've hit with it. It hits well, but let me tell you it is one heavy racquet! I can see why Vilas had such a big arm! The grip seems to be the original leather grip. There are some black marks on the grip and there is a small quarter inch hole/cut in it on one side. I have never noticed/felt this when hitting with it. The bottom of the grip is also darker, probably from being played with without an overgrip. The strings are intact but loose. I like them that way and wasn't sure about someone being able to restring it. You can still make out the Slazenger logo on the strings, though it is faded. Not sure of the string type. The butt cap is a bit faded as well. Overall a solid stick and quite a unique hitting experience! Any questions, please let me know.
