Vintage Wood 1920 N J Magnan Challenge Tennis Racket Intact Original StringsAntique old early wood wooden racquet from the Boston Providence areaNOTE: Part of a group of rackets I just found. I will list one racket a day between October 21 and October 30. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1920 N J MAGNAN Challenge made in North Attleboro, Mass U S AHEAD: Classic period elongated oval; stock is square at the shoulders and chamfered as it goes up and around the top of head WARPING: noneFRAME: excellent solid condition; bright crisp original finish on the shaft and around the head.THROAT WEDGE: Concave and laminated in place in the style of the periodSTRINGS: looks like original lamb gut in red color; no breaks; completely intactBANDING: all four original black and mustard color silk bands on the head in super intact conditionDECALS: As shown; excellentGRIP: 4 7/8 inches; never had grip materialSTAMPS: noneWEIGHT: weighs 12.0 ounces actual weightEND CAP: leather strip intact and no wear as shown in the photo; end cap as shown Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
