Slazenger "Doherty" New York Slazenger "The Demon" Vintage Tennis Racquet with Leather Grip - c1930 - ScarceVery Nice Slazenger "The Demon" Vintage Tennis Racquet with Leather Grip - c1930 - Scarce very collectible racquet - with "The Demon" red devil decal on the throat with chips in the decal and "Slazenger" red script logo on the shaft. There is wear on the white shoulders and red wrappings, scuffs, scrapes and nicks and old head tape on the outside edge of the head. The racquet has a rough varnish finish and old natural gut strings which are broken in a number of mains and crosses. The Slazenger Demon can be restored. The original leather handle and original butt collar are in very good condition. The racquet has a number of scrapes, and small nicks.
