This is a used tennis racquet with minor paint and/or finish imperfections. Racquet is structurally and functionally in good condition. A very unique spin on the Prince Graphite midsize! The Wavex Wave 3003 took the mold of the venerable Prince in its 95 (ish) square inch headsize, and added nodal “waves” to the side of the face and shaft. With a 100% graphite layup, and very open 14x18 string pattern, and light weight, this racquet was an obscure, but very capable and maneuverable spin-generating monster. Overall, it plays just like the Prince Graphite Mid (series 90 or 93), but with a slightly more dampened feel or response. And quite a topspin monster. Great acceleration and elasticity on serves, too, and stiff enough for excellent control off the ground. I discovered plenty of kick on my serves with this one, and good touch and maneuverability on volley. This specimen is in very good used condition. Grip size is 4-3/8”; there is an overgrip on top of an aftermarket synthetic replacement grip. Quite a bit of lead was added to the frame at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, to bring it to its current (still too light for my taste) 10.8 ounces. Some minor scratches and “bag wear,” no structural cracks. I can’t remember what string is in it at the moment, other than it is a 16 gauge multifilament. No cover included, sorry. This is a rare, slightly weird, but really great playing racquet. Priority Mail shipping to continental USA is $12.00. Please take a look at my other auctions for more interesting classic tennis gear.
