Vintage Bright Wood 1930 Wright & Ditson Big Bill Tilden Junior Autograph Tennis Racket Intact Original Strings, heavy weight, large grip.Crisp, clean … excellent condition. Antique old early wood wooden racquet from well-known maker.NOTE: Part of a group of rackets I just found. I will list one racket a day between October 21 and October 30. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1930 Wright & Ditson Big Bill Tilden Junior Autograph. This is a very heavy racket with a large grip… was not intended for a “junior” playerHEAD: Classic period elongated oval; stock is square at the shoulders and very slightly rounded as it goes around the top of head WARPING: noneFRAME: excellent solid condition; bright crisp original finish on the shaft and around the head.THROAT WEDGE: concave laminated in place wedge in the style of the periodSTRINGS: Fabulous: looks like original lamb gut in black color; no breaks; moderate wear; completely intactBANDING: three of the five original bands remain; the two narrowest bands at the shoulders are missing or have lossesDECALS: As shown; excellentGRIP: 4 7/8 inches; never had grip materialSTAMPS: H 8 CC 14 plus a couple of others I’m not sure ofWEIGHT: weighs 14.9 ounces actual weightEND CAP: leather strip mostly intact with roughness as shown in the photo; end cap as shown Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
