Selkirk was already riding on the success of our . However, the 30P didn't quite have the mix of power and control some top players needed. So with the help of 6 time Nationals Open champion, Enrique Ruiz, we believe we have developed a Selkirk paddle that has earned the distinction as our Best All-Around Paddle! We used the same great Polymer PowerCore technology and graphite face found on our standard . However, we developed the innovative EdgeSentry+ technology for the Enrique Signature paddle so that the average weight was increased to 7.8oz. This extra weight gives the paddle extra power and a more solid feel. We also replaced our standard Selkirk ComfortGripTM with Enrique's preference, the Contour Grip. You are a well-rounded player that can do it all: the third-shot drop just over the net, volleys from the baseline, consistent dinking at the net, quick reaction shots, blocking hard shots, and the occasional slam to put the ball away. Because of your solid play, you need a solid paddle that has no weaknesses and will serve you day in and day out. In other words, you need a paddle that will make you play like Enrique Ruiz. With his large arm span or "wingspan" (hence his nickname, "El Condor"), and his ability to effortlessly switch hands during play, giving him the ability to blanket the court, he has earned a reputation as a fierce opponent, yet gracious competitor. Over the past several years he has amassed many wins at all the major U.S. tournaments. Enrique burst onto the national stage in Buckeye, Arizona for the 2010 USAPA Nationals, winning gold in Men's Open Doubles. He then came back to repeat the feat in 2012 as well as winning the gold in Men's Open Singles which he went on to do again in 2013. In 2014, Enrique won the gold again for Men's Open Doubles and also won gold in Mixed Open Doubles—that's all three categories: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles! And that's in addition to winning gold at Nationals in all of the age brackets he competed in. And if that wasn't enough, Enrique also owns back-to-back gold medals at the 2013 and 2014 Tournament of Champions in Ogden, Utah—an incredible feat!
