Vintage Bright Wood 1910 “Harvard” Champion Tennis Racket Intact Original Stings GORGEOUS: Clean and crisp: Antique heavy old early wood wooden racquet with great decals. NOTE: Part of a new group of rackets. NEW AUCTION FORMAT for me: I will list two rackets a day between November 29 and December 4. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases. MODEL: 1910 “Harvard” Champion racket. HEAD: Classic period oval; stock is square at the shoulders and just slightly chamfered as it goes around the top of the head; less than expected wear to the top of the head. WARPING: none FRAME: excellent solid condition; retains most of original finish on the shaft and around the head with some worn areas. THROAT WEDGE: Concave wedge laminated in place STRINGS: looks like original lamb gut in natural color; beautiful decorative stringing at the top and bottom of the head BANDING: wrapping as shown DECALS: as shown: excellent GRIP: 5 inches; never had grip material STAMPS: 14 ½ OZ as shown WEIGHT: weighs 14 ounces actual weight END CAP: leather strip completely intact with very minor wear; end cap as shown; looks like leather Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight. International buyer: please wait for the invoice. International shipping: Approximately $45 for one racket; $4 for each additional racket in the same box.
