Vintage Bright Wood 1910 Wright & Ditson DEVON Tennis Racket Intact Original StringsThis model is not listed by Cherry or Kuebler. Barely used super clean and crisp condition; color coordinated strings and trim on this CLASSIC antique nice old early wood wooden racquet from well-known maker; excellent decalsNOTE: Part of a new group of rackets. NEW AUCTION FORMAT for me: I will list two rackets a day between November 29 and December 4. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1920 “DEVON” by Wright & DitsonHEAD: Classic period oval; stock is square at the shoulders and all the way around the top of head; retains most of original soft glow finish WARPING: noneFRAME: excellent condition; string channel with much less than expected wear to the top of the head.THROAT WEDGE: concave in the style of the period STRINGS: original lamb gut in color coordinated blue mains and mustard crossesBANDING: none; made before banding was in styleDECALS: As shown; excellent conditionGRIP: 4 1/2 inches; pre-dates grip material STAMPS: 7 4 ½ CC 21 as shown WEIGHT: weighs 12.0 ounces actual weightEND CAP: color coordinated blue leather strip intact with minimal wear; end cap as shownPostage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
