Made in the USA, by a sporting goods company started by George Wright, a baseball player and business man Henry Ditson. The company was sold to Spalding in 19891, but this name was used until the 1930's. This is probably early 1920 and in excellent condition for its age. Looks like it was restrung at some point. This racquet is straight, no cracks. Nice dovetail cover accompanies it.Stock is square at the shoulders and rounded as it goes around the top of the head. The number 23 carved on side.8 1/2 x 12 1/2 in width, top of the raquet to neck 12 1/4 in, bottom of neck to bottom of racquet 14 in.Leather is gone at the grip level, but still a nice antique piece of tennis history. Also have a Spalding Pancho Gonzalez I am selling as well.
