New, plastic on handle, Wilson BLX Juice 100S Spin 16X15 tennis racket in a midplus 100 square inch head and 4 3/8grip.Drop us an email or call 972 820 0619 with any questions. The BLX Juice 100S weighs 10.7 ounces unstrung and is 27 inches long. It is balanced at 32 cm for a 7 pt head light rating
This BLX Juice 100S utilizes Wilson's BLX, Amplifeel 360 grip, Spin Technology, and Parallel Drilling. BLX technology incorporates fibers of basalt, a natural volcanic rock, longitudinally into the Karophite Black. According to Wilson, the result is a significant reduction in vibrations in the racquet. The original Amplifeel grip technology placed basalt planks in a foam handle to dampen unwanted vibrations. Amplifeel 360 grip technology makes the entire racquet handle out of basalt. Basalt is stronger than foam, so less is needed for the same level of strength and allows a hollow handle construction. The racquet is both stronger and stiffer (Wilson estimates a 15% increase in strength in the lower 1/3 of the frame). A stiffer frame bends less on impact, transferring more energy to the ball. A hollow handle is lighter, which allows stiffer material to be placed in other areas of the racquet for structural reinforcement. Spin Technology is where the cross string count is reduced to increase string spacing and allow for greater ball penetration. This allows for longer contact with the tennis ball and increases the ability to hit spin. I suspect it also increases the life span of the frame as it balances the string pressures throughout the string bed. I have yet to find a Wilson racket that actually has parallel drilled grommets. Wilson did appear to angle the grommets at the 2/5/8/10 points of the head a little more in line with the other grommets but I think Wilson engineers have an odd definition of the word parallel. At any rate, Wilson claims that parallel drilling provides a consistent, more forgiving stringbed response while dramatically increasing the sweetspot. Enough said.Recommended string tension is 54 to 64 lbs on this 16X15 string pattern. With a stiffness of 74, a variable beam width of 25/26.5/25.5 mm, and a midplus head size of 100; I would recommend this racket for players with Medium+ swing speeds who want a racket with plenty of power and the ability to hit a wicked spin. Wilson recommends this racket for the all court player. We have hundreds of different strings in stock with installed prices ranging from $19 to $35 for most synthetics. If you need to contact me, email me through question for seller or visit about me (me button in seller info section) or call my phone number 972-820-0619. The listing includes Wilson's limited manufacturer's warranty. The Columbian Tennis Shop business model is to stock hard to find rackets for customers who do not want to change rackets. It costs a little more to store them but we think we provide a needed service to those players. If you have any shipping questions, please email us before you purchase. We ship Free via USPS to continental, contiguous US addresses. Other destinations, and shipping methods are available. Priority required for US territories outside of 48 states. Texas residents are subject to sales tax of 8.25%. International Buyers – Please Note:
