New, plastic on handle, Wilson BLX Juice 100UL Ultra Lite 16X18 tennis racket in a midplus 100 square inch head and 4 3/8 grip.Drop us an email or call 972 820 0619 with any questions. The BLX Juice 100 UL weighs 9.2 ounces unstrung and is 27 inches long. It is balanced at 34.0 cm for a 1 pt head light rating
This BLX Juice 100UL utilizes Wilson's BLX, Amplifeel 360 grip, and Parallel Drilling. BLX technology incorporates fibers of basalt, a natural volcanic rock, longitudinally into the Karophite Black. According to Wilson, the result is a significant reduction in vibrations in the racquet. The original Amplifeel grip technology placed basalt planks in a foam handle to dampen unwanted vibrations. Amplifeel 360 grip technology makes the entire racquet handle out of basalt. Basalt is stronger than foam, so less is needed for the same level of strength and allows a hollow handle construction. The racquet is both stronger and stiffer (Wilson estimates a 15% increase in strength in the lower 1/3 of the frame). A stiffer frame bends less on impact, transferring more energy to the ball. A hollow handle is lighter, which allows stiffer material to be placed in other areas of the racquet for structural reinforcement. I have yet to find a Wilson racket that actually has parallel drilled grommets. Wilson did appear to angle the grommets at the 2/5/8/10 points of the head a little more in line with the other grommets but I think Wilson engineers have an odd definition of the word parallel. At any rate, Wilson claims that parallel drilling provides a consistent, more forgiving stringbed response while dramatically increasing the sweetspot. Enough said.Recommended string tension is 50 to 60 lbs on this 16X18 string pattern where I recommend going down 2 lbs in the cross strings to equalize tension throughout the string bed. With a stiffness of 71, a variable beam width of 25.5/26.5/25.5 mm, and a midplus head size of 100; I would recommend this racket for players with Medium swing speeds who want the racket to do most of the work. Wilson recommends this racket for the all court player. We have hundreds of different strings in stock with installed prices ranging from $19 to $35 for most synthetics. If you need to contact me, email me through question for seller or visit about me (me button in seller info section) or call my phone number 972-820-0619. The listing includes Wilson's limited manufacturer's warranty. The Columbian Tennis Shop business model is to stock hard to find rackets for customers who do not want to change rackets. It costs a little more to store them but we think we provide a needed service to those players. If you have any shipping questions, please email us before you purchase. We ship Free via USPS to continental, contiguous US addresses. Other destinations, and shipping methods are available. Priority required for US territories outside of 48 states. Texas residents are subject to sales tax of 8.25%. International Buyers – Please Note:
