This vintage PONCHO GONZALES IMPACT-660 racquet by Spalding is a real survivor! Today's racquet technology and materials are unquestionably improved but none match the beauty of this wooden European handcrafted jewel. Spalding states this Impact-660 racquet has a "French Ash Frame" construction & on both sides it sports the name of elite tennis superstar Poncho Gonzales who they sponsored for many years. Remarkably well preserved, it does have its share of nicks, blemishes and scrapes. The decals are rough where the wood press frame sits. However, it still looks good, is quite solid and has its original Spalding grip and butt cap. This clean and well made Impact-660 racquet appears to be quite scarce. Comes with a genuine Spalding head press that is also in good condition and was Made In America.
