This listing is for a beautiful Bancroft Monte Carlo Bjorn Borg Model Wooden Tennis Racket The handle is 4 1/2 L. Condition is in great shape given how old it is. The racket still has that nice lacquer glossy finish to it on the throat and the neck and runs along the top. Yes, if one looks close, there is some evidence if minor paint crackling in some areas but you really have to hold the racquet very close to see them. The racquet has nice red, black, and gold pin striping. The strings are fully intact. I ran my fingers along the strings to see if there were any loose or detached strings. Everything is tightly secured and fastened. The handle is in excellent shape given how old it is. It appears to be the original. It's still wrapped around the racket firmly. The top rim portion of the racket is in relatively good shape. Usually when the racket gets placed down, the top of the rim is usually the resting place and the wood really gets worn down. That doesn’t seem to be the case with this one. Granted it has some wear but some of the glossy paint finish is still there. The butt end of the handle also shows well with the Bancroft logo on the end. It's a great racket with a lot of life left to it! Either use it or display it proudly!
