Vintage Collectible Teddy Tingling tennis dress worn at Wimbledon in the 1950's/1960's. Sleeveless form fitting body with blue piping on the front. We believe it is made of 100% cotton, but label does not identify. Label reads - Teddy Tingling, Made in England, London. Metal zipper in shape of tennis racquet with initial "TT." Excellent condition for age. Please reference measurements below for fit:measured laying flat - 16" under arm to underarm - waist 14" and the length is 29" Teddy Tingling was a major presence in the world of international tennis from the late 1920s until his death at the age of 79 in 1990. Among the roles he filled were player, umpire, announcer, ombudsman, raconteur, historian, and designer to generations of champions.Won numerous awards including British Clothing Institute Designer of the Year award, 1971; International Tennis Hall of Fame award, 1986.
