The specs and layout have remained the same as the previous version, so we had playtesters who reviewed the original Pro Staff 97 review this one as well to see if their opinions had changed. We also added a new playtester (Hannah) to bring a fresh perspective. When all was said and done we found that, like the previous version, this racquet gives you a little taste of Roger Federer's magic in an easier to swing package. The Pro Staff 97 continues the Pro Staff legacy with a distinctively crisp, yet muted, feel thanks to its braided graphite layup. The Tennis Warehouse playtesters found a lively stringbed and plenty of access to power and spin on both groundstrokes and serves. Returns and volleys were a breeze to hit thanks to the excellent maneuverability the Pro Staff 97 offers. However, all the playtesters agreed they would have liked a bit more control, whether they were at the net trying to put the ball away or returning serves.
