Wimbledon HM-98 MP tennis racquet. 4 1/2 grip. Racquet is in 9/10 condition. Paint looks almost like new. There is very light court rash on the frame but you need a strong light to see it. There is one 4mm paint chip on the tip and a few very tiny ones scattered around the frame and that is it. Comes with a leather grip that looks almost new. The 16 gauge synthetic strings are tight and in good condition with no fraying. Grommets are in very good shape including the tie offs. Butt cap is intact. I’ve hit with it and it still hits a solid ball with excellent control. This racquet obviously saw very little court time. It comes with the original cover. Here are the official specs – Head Size: Midplus 98 in Length: 27 in Weight: 11.5 oz (324 grams) Balance: Head Light Beam Width: 18 mm straight String Pattern: 16 Mains / 19 Crosses Racquet Color : White with Green and Blue pinstriping The Wimbledon line of racquets were made in the 1980s by Kunnan in Taiwan (who made racquets for Pro Kennex, Prince, etc). They are extremely well made frames with high quality finishes. Th HM-98 was targeted at advanced players who preferred a large head size than the 88-90 sq inch frames of the time. This one is in very nice shape and would make a great backup frame if you still play this model or a nice addition to your racquet collection if you want to own a Wimbledon branded frames.
