Vintage Wood 1905 Horace Partridge STANDARD Original Strings Intact Tennis Racket Classic antique old early wood wooden racquet with an excellent early Partridge logo. NOTE: Part of a group of 12 rackets fresh to the market. I will list two rackets a day between March 21 and March 26. Will combine items for much reduced postage for multiple purchases. MODEL: 1905 Horace Partridge & Co Boston STANDARD HEAD: Classic period tear drop teardrop; stock is square at the shoulders and all the way around the top of the head; MUCH less than expected wear to the top of the head; some of original light paint wash remains WARPING: none FRAME: soft mellow glow finish THROAT WEDGE: 1905 patent 5-piece convex wedge STRINGS: fully intact thick original lamb gut and trebling as shown BANDING: none; pre-dates banding DECALS: As shown; this is a very early Partridge logo; the STANDARD logo is in poor condition but can be read if you look at it carefully GRIP: shallow combed grooves; 4 5/8 inches; pre-dates grip material STAMPS: 13 OZ as shown WEIGHT: weighs 12.6 ounces actual weight END CAP: excellent intact leather strip; end cap as shown Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
