REVIEW: The Sledge Hammer 3.8si Stretch racket with Power Holes. Made in 1998 with a MSRP of $280. The Wilson Sledge Hammer 3.8si Stretch is one of the most powerful frames offered by Wilson, combining an oversized head with a stiff beam and stretch length. It is geared to the beginner to intermediate level player with a slow, compact swing. Light static weight with a head heavy balance (as is typical with all Wilson Hammers) keeps the 3.8 stable, maneuverable, and powerful. Open string fan pattern further enhances the already generous sweetspot. "This was Wilson's most powerful racquet." CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Bumperguard has light scratches. Sides in excellent / near mint condition. See pics. Overall in excellent condition. 4 3/8" grip size. A DEMO. Strung with Wilson Sensation synthetic gut strings. Grip in great condition. NOTE: has 'G11W3B' on throat. See last pic.BOTTOM LINE: Bazooka like power. Baseliners will appreciate its power from the backcourt, while serve-and-volleyers will like it's maneuverability on serves and at net.
