English Slazenger and Sons was founded in 1877 and their most famous racket was the Demon, in 1888 the Demon was made with an oval rather than a square head. Ads referred to it as a Special Racket and best is best the logo on one side of the throat and the Demon on the other side. Ads referred to the stringing as "special gut. It features a fishtail grip.
