For auction is a Wilson Sledge Hammer 2.8si Stretch super oversize tennis racket with new strings in excellent condition. Original version, with bazooka like power. A very nice game improvement racket. The original Sledge Hammer 2.8si Stretch racket. Made in 1996 with a MSRP of $280.

REVIEW: The Wilson Sledge Hammer 2.8si Stretch is one of the most powerful frames offered by Wilson, combining an super oversized head with a stiff beam and stretch length. It is geared to the beginner to intermediate level player with a slow, compact swing. Light static weight with a head heavy balance (as is typical with all Wilson Hammers) keeps the 2.8 stable, maneuverable, and powerful. Open string fan pattern further enhances the already generous sweetspot. "This was Wilson's most powerful racquet."
CONDITION: NEW STRINGS. Fully intact bumperguard has scrapes and scratches. Sides in very good condition with light scratches. See pics. Overall in excellent condition. 4 3/8" grip size. New Gamma synthetic gut strings. Grip in great condition.BOTTOM LINE: Bazooka like power. Baseliners will appreciate its power from the backcourt, while serve-and-volleyers will like it's maneuverability on serves and at net. Precursor to Wilson's The Limits / Outer Limits rackets; comparable to Gamma Big Bubba; Head Intelligence i.X16 and i.S18 rackets.
