Yes there are ebay sellers offering string for less, however they are not Auth. Tecnifibre U.S.A. Dealers, so buyers can't be 100% sure they are getting Authentic Tecnifibre Product & not some Chinese Counterfit Knockoff made to look just like the real Tecnifibre string.
To get around this restriction & get you the lowest price, along with your assurance that you are buying Authentic Tecnifibre Product, from a U.S Dealer & not Look Alike Counterfit Chinese Product, we have come up with a solution that follows the rules that all Tecnifibre Dealers must abide by.We remove 1' (12 inches) from our reels so they are now only 659' long.
They are no longer full 660' reels & thus no longer subject to restrictions. Rest assured you will not have any issues due to the missing 3/4" per set.**We mark the ends of each reel after we cut off the 1' to identify them.
If for any reason you need to return a reel, we can verify it's unused.
