Offered is this vintage "Ellsworth Vines Signature Model" wooden tennis racket, made by Wilson. Vines was the best player in the world for much of the 1930s so I assume this dates to that time or maybe the 1940s. I measure the grip size to be 4 3/4".  The handle is leather-wrapped and is marked "Super Quality Leather by Balmforth of England". The racket is in good to very good condition. The grip wrapping is tight, as are the strings.  There is a small area of damage to the leather. Much of the varnish, paint and decals remain, although there are many areas of wear, scuffing, etc.
