Vtg Andreef AA Frank Kovacs Personal Speedshaft Open Throat Tennis Racquet
Up for your consideration is this Fantastic Vintage Wooden Open Throat AA Frank Kovacs Personal Speedshaft Tennis Racquet By Alex Andreef. 1940's era. Comes with an A.G. Spalding & Bros. 1135-173 racquet press that was on it when purchased. Racquet is approximately 27" long. This racquet does not show any apparent damage or warpage. Has a number 2 on the side. No cracks or breaks. I think the webbing is complete with no breaks and appears to be original. Look at the red and blue banding decorations. There are 2 of those missing and 1 broke. Old paper tape at the top of the cushion handle. Think with a little work this would come off and it looks like it is OK under tape with no grip material missing. I know nothing about tennis racquets other than what is on the internet. This racquet appears to be a very collectable. I am very receptive to a reasonable offer.
