REVIEW: The Wilson The Limits Hyper Hammer 3.3 is one of the most powerful frames ever offered by Wilson, combining a super oversized head 135 sq in with a stiff 32mm beam and stretch 28.5" length. It is geared to the beginner to intermediate level player with a slow, compact swing. Light static weight with a head heavy balance (as is typical with all Wilson Hammers) keeps the 3.3 stable, maneuverable, and powerful. Massive 32mm widebody design provides awesome power. Hyper Carbon high modulus graphite with dual taper patent-pending design provides stability. Lineage with Wilson Hammer 3.6 "Outer Limits" FEATURES:
HYPER CARBON COMPOSITION: Hyper Carbon is the lightest, stiffest, and strongest material ever used in tennis racquets. Compared to Titanium, Hyper Carbon is 4 times stiffer, 65% lighter, and 4 times stronger. 2 layers of Hyper Carbon and 5 layers of Graphite are used in the application of Hyper Carbon. Hyper Carbon is used in the Horizontal Axis cross section, increasing stiffness which creates more power. It is also used in the Vertical Axis cross section, increasing torsional stability which creates more control.
FAN GAP STRING PATTERN: This racket utilizes Wilson's Fan Gap string pattern which extends the sweet spot towards the top and sides of the frame. This pattern greatly reduces ball shock and racket twist caused by off center hits.
HAMMER TECHNOLOGY: Weight is reduced in the shaft and handle. With today's racquets getting lighter and lighter, maintaining mass (weight) in the head becomes more important than ever. With Hammer Technology, weight is maintained throughout the head of the racquet, resulting in increased stability and more power.
CONDITION: NEW STRINGS. Bumperguard has scrapes and scratches. Sides in excellent condition with few light scratches as shown. See pics. Overall in excellent condition. 4 3/8" grip size. New Wilson synthetic gut strings. Grip in excellent condition.BOTTOM LINE: Bazooka like power. Baseliners will appreciate its power from the backcourt, while serve-and-volleyers will like it's maneuverability on serves and at net. Best suited for 1.0 to 3.5 rated players that have compact strokes with slow swings.Wilson The Limits Hyper Hammer 3.3 super oversize specifications:
