This is a Boris Becker V1 Midplus tennis racquet, with a 102 square inch stringbed and a 4 3/8 grip size. This frame is in good overall shape with some moderate paint and bumperguard scraping. The 16g synthetic gut strings have moderate notching and are currently at 40lbs tension. Has a new white Head ExtremeSoft tacky feel overgrip installed. Even with the new name and logo (the “Serveman,” which is modeled after Becker’s trademark knee bend on his serve) the racquet has many of the same qualities players have come to expect of its predecessor, most notably, a solid, forgiving response. It’s what made the original V1 so popular with players who suffer from arm pain. The racquet has vibration-dampening materials, called Sensor Plus, in the shaft and handle to lessen shock on impact. It works so effectively that one reviewer likened the comfort of playing with the mid-plus to “an old pair of shoes.” The V1 is a medium-weight racquet, and the head-light balance helps keep it maneuverable from all parts of the court.
