Vintage Bright Wood 1920 E Kent OLYMPIC DRIVER Tennis Racket Intact Original StringsMegaphone style OLYMPIC DRIVER decal. Antique old early wood wooden racquet from the Boston Providence area. NOTE: Part of a group of 12 rackets fresh to the market. I have listed two rackets a day between May 27 and June 1. Will combine items for much reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1920 E Kent OLYMPIC DRIVER made in Pawtucket, R.I., U.S.AHEAD: Classic period oval; stock is square at the shoulders and round as it goes around the head; expected wear to the top of the head; contrasting ply of black wood WARPING: noneFRAME: excellent solid condition; soft glow mellow original finish on the shaft and most of the way around the head.THROAT WEDGE: laminated in place; concave in the style of the period; note the unusual extensions of applied lamination on the inside of the shoulders STRINGS: looks like original lamb gut as shown; fully intactBANDING: excellent; early days of banding with four bands of silk cord in black to match the laminationsDECALS: As shown; excellent.
