Vintage Wood 1920 E Kent LENOX Pawtucket RI Tennis Racket Intact StringsAntique old early wood wooden racquet with beautiful marbled pearloid shoulder overlays and megaphone style decal.NOTE: Part of a group of 12 rackets fresh to the market. I have listed two rackets a day between June 16 and June 21. Will combine items for much reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1920 E Kent LENOX from Pawtucket, RI.HEAD: classic period oval; stock is square at the shoulders and rounded as it goes around the head; less than expected wear to the top of the head. WARPING: noneFRAME: excellent solid condition; soft glow old finish on the shaft and most of the way around the head; contrasting wood tones THROAT WEDGE: laminated in place in concave design in the style of the period.STRINGS: great condition: looks like original thick lamb gut with green mains and red crosses; color coordinated with the banding; trebling intact with “target zone” design as wellBANDING: marbled red and white pearloid wrapping and four original intact green and bronze color silk cord bandsDECALS: As shown; excellent. GRIP: 4 7/8 inchesSTAMPS: 14 probably for the weight; one other indistinct stamp might also be 14WEIGHT: weighs 13.8 ounces actual weight END CAP: leather strip has minor losses and minor wear as shown in the photo. End cap as shown.Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight. International buyer: please wait for the invoice.
